The formulas
VAT = net price × 15%

Frequently asked questions
How do I extract VAT from a VAT-inclusive price?
Multiply the inclusive price by 15 and divide by 115 (Saudi Arabia). Example: 115 × 15 ÷ 115 = 15 SAR VAT; the net price is 100.
Why not just take 15% of the inclusive price?
Because 15% applies to the net price. 115 × 15% = 17.25, which is 2.25 more than the correct VAT of 15.
What is the VAT rate in Egypt?
The standard rate is 14%. Pick Egypt in the calculator, or type another rate if your item has a different one.
How is rounding done?
The calculator works in halalas or piastres (2 decimals) and rounds half up; the net is total minus VAT, so the numbers always add up.
Are my numbers saved?
No. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
