Terms of use
These terms are an agreement between you and HashStudio for using the Kaffa app («كفّة»), the web app and the getkaffa.com website. By using Kaffa you accept them, so please read them with the privacy policy.
The service
Kaffa is a tool to record sales, purchases, stock and accounts and to issue invoices. It works offline on the device and, with a subscription, syncs across devices, branches, staff and the web app. We may improve or change features over time, and we aim never to stop a sale or an entry from being saved because of that.
Free use
You can use Kaffa for free without signing in, up to 300 operations a month, with your data saved on your device only. When operations run out nothing is lost: an open document always saves, and only starting a new document waits until the next month or a pack. On the free plan you are responsible for backing up the device's data (the app offers a backup file and Excel export).
We show no ads today. We may show ads in the free plan in the future; subscribers never see ads.
Subscription through Google Play
- The subscription (monthly or yearly) is bought in the app through Google Play; Play shows the price in your currency before you pay.
- It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- To cancel, go to Google Play: Subscriptions → Kaffa → Cancel subscription. It stays active until the end of the paid period. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
- Refunds follow Google Play's policies and are requested from Google. If a payment is refunded, the subscription it paid for stops.
- A business owner may get one free trial month without a card, when offered.
- After a subscription ends, its features stay for a 7-day grace period, then the business returns to the free plan rules. Its data stays on the server for 12 months and is then deleted as described in the privacy policy; the copy on your device stays on it.
Operation packs
Operation packs are one-time purchases through Google Play that add operations to your balance. The balance is kept in your account with us and is deleted if you delete your account. Refunds follow Google Play's policies.
You own your data
All the business data you enter in Kaffa belongs to you. We use it only to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy, and you can export or delete it at any time. The business owner manages staff and their permissions and is responsible for what is entered under the business.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping access to your email and devices, and for any use of your account. You must be 18 or older. Tell us right away if you think someone used your account without permission.
Acceptable use
You may not use Kaffa to:
- Do anything illegal, issue forged or misleading documents, or evade tax.
- Try to access another business's data, disrupt the server, or get around usage limits or security.
- Copy, reverse engineer or resell the app, or use the Kaffa name or logo without permission.
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you when we can.
No tax or legal advice
Kaffa is a tool that helps with your bookkeeping; it is not an accountant, tax adviser or lawyer. You are responsible for the accuracy of your data, your tax filings and compliance with the rules in your country. Ask your accountant when needed. Kaffa does not claim approval by ZATCA, the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) or any government body, and is not affiliated with them.
Limitation of liability
We work hard to keep Kaffa accurate and available, but it is provided "as is", without a guarantee that it is free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, HashStudio is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data lost because no backup was kept, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. This does not remove any right that the law does not allow to be removed.
Ending use
You can stop using Kaffa and delete your account at any time (see delete account). Subscriptions are canceled in Google Play.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [TO CONFIRM: country], and the courts of [TO CONFIRM: city] have jurisdiction. We always prefer to settle disagreements amicably, so please write to us first.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with its date and tell you about significant changes before they apply. Continuing to use Kaffa after that means you accept them.
